Terms of Service
These Terms explain the rules for using Region Relay, including its map, account, community contributions, and related features. By using the service or accepting these Terms in the map access screen, you agree to them.
1. Accounts
Some features require an account with a confirmed email address and password. You must be at least 13 years old to create or use an account. We check the date of birth entered at signup and in profile edits; accounts that do not meet this minimum cannot use the map and account features. Provide accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your signed-in account, except where applicable law says otherwise.
2. Map information and safety
Region Relay is a community map and reference service. Map information can be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. It is not an official land, parcel, utility, emergency, traffic, accessibility, or navigation record. Do not use it as the sole basis for emergency response, safe digging, property decisions, or travel. Check authoritative sources and conditions on site.
3. Your contributions
You may submit map pins, locations, descriptions, community lines, correction reports, and messages where those features are available. You are responsible for what you submit and must have the rights and permissions needed to share it. Do not publish private or identifying information about another person without an appropriate reason and permission.
Content marked public may be shown to map visitors. A public pin can include its submitted location, title, details, and account name; any privacy or author-display choice shown in the feature controls applies to that item. Private messages are intended for their participants, but should not be treated as a secure or confidential channel.
You keep ownership of content you create. You give Region Relay permission to store, process, and display your submissions as needed to operate and maintain the service, including showing public contributions to map visitors. This permission ends for content when it is removed from the service, except for copies retained in backups, records needed for safety or legal obligations, or material already copied by others.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Region Relay to break the law, violate another person’s rights, harass or threaten people, submit deliberately misleading or unsafe information, expose sensitive personal information, send spam, interfere with the service, or attempt to access accounts or systems without permission.
5. Content and access changes
We may review, decline, limit, hide, or remove submissions and may restrict account access when needed to protect the service, its users, or the public, or to respond to legal requirements. Map sources and optional external services may change or stop working. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every contribution will remain available.
6. Privacy
The Privacy Policy describes the information the service handles and how it is used. Please read it before accepting these Terms.
7. Changes and periodic review
These Terms and the Privacy Policy may be reviewed periodically and updated to reflect changes to the service, applicable law, or current guidelines. A review does not guarantee that every requirement applies or has been satisfied. We will update the version and effective date when a revision is published; where appropriate or required, we will also provide notice through the service.
